and acquiesced to his request that we go to the “top of Nichols,” which means where Nichols Canyon Road dead-ends.

My understanding is that riding to the “top of Nichols” actually entails taking a right at Woodrow Wilson and heading up “the wall,” a two-block climb that leaves me gasping and heaving and on Mulholland Drive. We did not do that today. Only 900 feet of climbing.
